Cuddeback has five models of Game Trail Cameras on the market, the Cuddeback Capture, the Cuddeback CaptureIR, the Cuddeback NoFlash, the Cuddeback ExPert and finally the Cuddeback ExCite.

Cuddeback decided to manufacture their Trail Cameras to use 4 D Cell batteries.  Alkaline batteries are recommended for their cold weather performance.

The cuddeback electronics and software are designed to optimize cold weather operation and battery life.  Rechargeable batteries can be used but they will not last as long as Rayovac or Duracell alkaline batteries.

You will need Quick Time or Windows Media Player software to view videos, depending on the Cuddeback Trail Camera model you have.  Name brand Compact Flash cards, Type I or Type II are recommended for capturing consistent quality images.

The internal memory will allow you to store from 8 to 60 images, but the quality of the image resolution will not be as good as the one saved on the Compact Flash Cards.  Check with the Cuddeback user manual for the preferred size memory card to use.
