Cuddeback decided to manufacture their Game Cameras to use 4 D Cell batteries. Alkaline batteries are recommended for their cold weather performance. The cuddeback electronics and software are designed to optimize cold weather operation and battey life. Rechargeable batteries can be used but they will not last as long as Rayovac or Duracell alkaline batteries.
You will need Quick Time or Windows Media Player software to view videos, depending on the Cuddeback Camera model you have. Name brand Compact Flash cards, Type I or Type II are recommended for capturing consistent quality images. The internal memory will allow you to store from 8 to 60 images, but the quality of the image resolution will not be as good as the one saved on the Compact Flash Cards. Check with the Cuddeback user manual for the preferred size memory card to use.

With the 40 ft flash range, the Cuddeback Capture IR will deliver quality pictures.
The Cuddeback Capture model is a digital trail camera that takes day and night color pictures of 3.0 megapixel quality. This game camera also has a simple set up and features long battery life with fast recovery time. The hair trigger is over twice as fast as the older models, a big improvement for Cuddeback. This trail camera has a flash range of 50 ft to capture the weary big buck under your tree stand.
The Cuddeback No Flash switches to infrared for night time operation. Take video clips, day or night. The time lapse mode can be set from 1 to 96 hours to keep track of your projects. Flash range is 60 ft for still images and 40 ft for the video mode. Cuddeback includes the TheftStop Password Protection and the instant trigger features with this unit.
Cuddeback Expert offers 3.0 megapixel quality digital color day or night images with daytime only video clips. TheftStop Password Protection is standard feature. The instant trigger will take still images of moving animals at the 60 ft flash range.
The Cuddeback Exite is a fast trigger game camera that offers a 2.0 megapixel quality image. The delay and sensitivity can be adjusted to take flash pictures at the 40 ft range. This model has the technology performance of the other Cuddeback models without all the other gadgets.
